Idea and planning

The Aurora is a product in which the acrylic glass can be exchanged on a modular basis. This means that the customer has the option of changing the motif by changing the acrylic glass. Four acrylic glasses are used for one motif, which are fixed in a holder on the turntable of the Aurora. When choosing the motif, there is the option of distributing the motif over four levels or using two on each side to create unique effects using the LED lighting.

Two acrylic glasses per motif

Here you can see in the video that two sheets of acrylic glass were used for each motif. The motifs have been distributed over two layers so that they remain clearly legible even when the Aurora is rotated, supported by the switching LED lighting.

Illuminating the individual layers

During the production of the acrylic glass sheets, only the letters that are to be visible in the respective layer are lasered onto the acrylic glass using LED lighting. As a result, as can be seen in the video, only part of the motif is visible at any one time.
