Cleanroom for the Aurora - MicroClean Enclosure
Requirements and planning
As we were experiencing increasing problems with dust and other impurities in the production of acrylic glasses, we decided to build a clean room for the production of the Aurora. This clean room was intended to improve the quality of the acrylic glasses and significantly reduce the reject rate.
3D modeling and planning
The idea is actually quite simple: we build two boxes from aluminum profiles and Plexiglas. The upper box is completely closed and has a filter in the middle at the top through which air is drawn in. The air is then blown down into the box below using ten server fans mounted at the bottom of the upper box. The filtered air reaches this lower box, where the acrylic glasses can be cleaned and assembled after laser cutting.
