Assembling the camera slider
Printing the 3D housing
We designed the housing of the camera slider ourselves and produced it using our in-house 3D printer. We made sure that the housing was stable and robust so that the camera slider could be carried safely. The construction of the housing was designed in such a way that all the components of the camera slider fit inside and can be securely attached.
Soldering the circuit board for the motor controller
To control the motor that moves the carriage of the camera slider, we reused a circuit board from the Rex Scara Robot that was still left over. However, before we could start programming, we first had to solder the pins for the wiring to the circuit board. After successful soldering, we were able to install the circuit board in the housing and start programming.
Stable assembly of the housing thanks to screw connection
To ensure the longevity and stability of the camera slider, we screwed the housing together. We used threaded inserts that were melted into the material with a soldering iron. This sophisticated design makes assembly much easier and ensures that the housing remains firm and reliable even under load.
